KIM FAIRMINER - AUSTRALIAN ASTROLOGER
About the project
The Brief:
Kim wanted to ditch her outdated & dysfunctional Wordpress website, and create a better looking, higher-converting Squarespace website that was also easier for her clients to navigate. She already had a nice logo which she was happy with but she wanted to elevate her brand style. Kim also wanted to build out a paywalled membership area for her new Inner Circle offering.
Site goals:
To increase the SEO & efficacy (ease of use) of her website.
To build her email list & newsletter subscribers.
To have a paywalled membership area that viewers could directly purchase via the website.
The Before:
Kim’s old website was pretty enough. However, it wasn’t converting & the complexity of the Wordpress backend was stressing Kim out with unruly page builders, plugins and constant security backups.
Kim wanted something that was elegant, easier for her viewers to navigate and for her to maintain long-term.
Branding
Values:
Client-centred; relational; being a guide & translator of knowledge; reclaiming harmony & balance; living a meaningful life driven by inner knowing; taking action & consciously collaborating with the Universe.
Brand words:
Mystery
Spiritual
Evocative
Design Translation:
Added on a darker green & purple to Kim’s original colour palette to give it more depth.
Harlow serif & script font pairing that matched the spiritual nature of her brand whilst also elevated the look & feel of her website.
Mixture of straight & curved edges like the arch shaped images.
“I felt you understood my brand and me and my goals and weren't afraid to trust your own creative instincts to bring that to life on my new website. Because you trusted yourself, I could trust you.”
- Kim Fairminer; Australian Astrologist.
The After:
After our work together, Kim now has a super magnetic brand style, a better looking, higher-converting website with a more intuitive layout that is easier for her clients to navigate and for her to edit & maintain on the backend.
Two years after her build, Kim is still loving her Squarespace website & is learning more about SEO which she calls “a bit of nerdy fun!”
